(Oct. 10, 2011) – The 2011 TUMS Fast Relief 500 grand marshal and winner of the TUMS “Sing Your Heart(burn) Out” contest was announced today with Ashley Young from Ferrum, Va., earning the most fan votes and the coveted role at the TUMS Fast Relief 500 on Oct. 30 at Martinsville Speedway.

“As you know TUMS is all about fast heartburn relief but with the Sing Your Heart(burn) Out contest, we are all about delivering fast dreams,” said Mandy Hennebry, senior brand manager for TUMS. “Ashley is a passionate NASCAR fan and has been attending the TUMS Fast Relief 500 for years. After competing in the consumer-friendly promotion which challenged the nation to submit its best video version of the TUMS jingle and subsequently earn the most fan votes, Young will:

* Serve as the grand marshal at the TUMS Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway on Oct. 30, 2011. The grand marshal will give the most famous words in racing “Gentlemen, Start Your Engines.” * Lead a crowd of more than 60,000 people in singing the TUMS jingle at Martinsville Speedway. * Receive a VIP experience including roundtrip travel, three nights’ accommodation, food and beverage for up to $5,000 and transportation to and from all TUMS Fast Relief 500 activities. * Access for two to the TUMS suite for the TUMS Fast Relief 500. * The winning jingle will be featured in a radio spot that will air on Motor Racing Network’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race broadcast on Oct. 30.
