Timothy Peters Talks about Talladega Superspeedway:

What do you enjoy most about restrictor-plate racing? Why do you think you have been so successful at Daytona and Talladega?
“I like the intensity of racing at Talladega and Daytona. We have always  had really good trucks at both of those locations. I can’t pinpoint  exactly why we run so well, I just try to bide my time and make the  right move at the right time. Sometimes it works out for you sometimes  it doesn’t. These races are always fun and exciting; you just hope that  you are there at the end to battle for the win.”

After last weekend’s race the point’s battle has become a five man race. Do you still think you have good odds?
“Anything is possible at this point. I don’t think anyone thought that the race  last weekend would be such a turning point, but the race this weekend at Talladega is anyone’s game as is the race in Martinsville. I feel confident in this No. 17 team and I know we will have good equipment.
What is meant to be will be and we hope that when this thing is all said and done we are holding the hardware in Miami.”
