Jason White on Kansas Speedway: “I am ready to get to our first 1.5-mile track this season for the Camping World Truck Series. It is always so nice to go to Kansas Speedway as the track does a fantastic job and the fans are great. The track is not your normal 1.5- mile oval and the driver can try a lot of different things with grooves and lines to help your truck handle better. The guys on this GunBroker.com team will have a strong truck ready for us, and with our Roush Yates horsepower under the hood, I am confident we will be very fast. The key will be to get a good set-up under our No. 23 GunBroker.com Ford and to get in and off pit road quickly, as this race can produce some long green flag runs which could make for pit stops under green. Our season was off to a great start before we had some problems last week at Rockingham. We need to get back our momentum and put together a solid performance this week in Kansas – and I am confident that we will do that.
Jason’s Kansas Speedway Stats: This will mark Jason’s eighth career start at the 1.5-mile oval of Kansas Speedway. He has a career best finish of 10th that came in the 2009 event and he has garnered four top-20 finishes – all coming in the last four events at the track.
“Bullet” Heading to Kansas: The GunBroker.com team will be bringing the truck they nicknamed “Bullet” to Kansas this week. In honor of the team’s sponsor, GunBroker.com, the GB Racing team uses gun and shooting themed names for most of their trucks – thus the name “Bullet”. “Bullet” last raced in the 2011 season and has always been a strong truck for Jason. The truck was the first KHI truck purchased by the team and provided White with his first top-10 finish in the series its first time out in Dover. “Bullet” also led 86 of the 200 laps at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2009, while Jason held off a hard charging Kyle Busch before settling for a top-15 finish. Like all of the trucks in the team’s stable, “Bullet” has been outfitted with a new body and is ready for speed this week at Kansas Speedway.
Quality Partnership Added for Kansas: Jason and his GunBroker.com team have partnered with the Quality Inn & Suites for this weekend. The team will enjoy their
stay in the Kansas City area with accommodations at the Lee’s Summit, Missouri property. Just outside of Kansas City, MO, the Quality Inn® & Suites hotel in Lees
Summit is your headquarters for enjoying sports, outdoors and many nearby attractions. This Lees Summit, Missouri hotel is close to Worlds of Fun, the Kansas City
Zoo, Arrowhead Stadium, Kauffman Stadium, Independence Event Center and is surrounded by three lakes.
Jason Pumped for Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown: Jason will join fellow NASCAR stars Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart, Kyle Busch and others as he will
participate next week in the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown at Richmond International Raceway. Jason will pilot the No. 23 GunBroker.com Ford Late Model
in this Fifth Annual event. Proceeds will benefit the Denny Hamlin Foundation, which raises funds for individuals and families affected by cystic fibrosis. The
foundation supports organizations like the Children’s Hospital of Richmond, St. Jude’s Hospital and Victory Junction Camp. The event will run at America’s Premier
Short Track on Thursday April 26th immediately following the NASCAR K&N East Pro Series race and can be seen LIVE on SPEED.
