Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick to visit fan hospitality

BROOKLYN, Mich. (June 27, 2012) – Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick headline the group of NASCAR drivers making an appearance in the Budweiser Acceleration Club during the August NASCAR weekend at Michigan International Speedway.

Budweiser Acceleration is one of the fan hospitality areas at MIS, and always a good time.

In June, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. visited the Budweiser Acceleration Club prior to winning the Quicken Loans 400. You just might hear from the winner of the Pure Michigan 400 before the race even starts.

The Budweiser Acceleration Club is an all-inclusive resort right at the track, perfect for fans who want to upgrade their race weekend. But it’s also a great place for companies who want to reward or entertain clients, employees or prospects.

“We are excited to have these great drivers visit Budweiser Acceleration Club in August and maybe we can prove to be good luck like we were for Dale Earnhardt, Jr. in June,” said track President Roger Curtis. “It is lining up to be a fun-filled event and one of the highlights of the weekend, and another example of how accessible NASCAR drivers are and how much they care about fans of this sport.”

Gordon, a four-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion, will be making an appearance on Sunday, August 19. He has won twice at MIS and finished sixth when the series made a stop in the Irish Hills in June.

Harvick currently ranks sixth in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series standings after 16 races in 2012. He has visited Gatorade Victory Lane three times at MIS, winning in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (2010), NASCAR Nationwide Series (2003) and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (2011).

Relax and have some fun at Budweiser Acceleration throughout the race and remain one hour after the finish of the race.

Hospitality package can be purchased individually or for groups. Guests can take part in Acceleration on Saturday or Sunday or double the excitement by attending both days of the event.

Besides the driver appearances, admission to Budweiser Acceleration Club includes:

• Pre-race pit access • Breakfast and lunch buffet • Unlimited Coca-Cola products and Dasani • Six (6) drink tickets per guest (Budweiser products and wine) • Post-race snack • Entertainment • Company name displayed on reserved table (when purchasing table of 10 package) • Souvenir programs • Event gifts • Complimentary scanner rental (credit card deposit required) • Lot 3 parking pass

Admission is $69 for adults and $29 for kids 12 and under, plus a grandstand admission ticket for Saturday. On Sunday it is $179 for adults and $79 for kids for kids 12 and under, plus a grandstand admission ticket.

Special guest appearances will be added throughout the weekend. They will be announced as they are confirmed. Also, be sure to check back to www.mispeedway.com for the latest schedule.
