No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota Turns Pink for Breast Cancer Crusade – Talladega Preview

A portion of New 5-hour ENERGY Pink Lemonade Proceeds go to the Avon Foundation for Women Breast Cancer Crusade

CORNELIUS, N.C. – Clint Bowyer’s No. 15 5-hour ENERGY Toyota will turn pink in October.

And that makes the Chase’s fourth-place driver happy.

“If I’m going to be wearing pink and driving a pink car it better be for a great cause!” said Bowyer. “Trust me, this is a great cause.”

The paint scheme that makes its first appearance this weekend in Talladega calls attention to the Avon Foundation for Breast Cancer Crusade as well as 5-hour ENERGY’s newest flavor—Pink Lemonade.

“I hate breast cancer,” said Bowyer. “I have a great group of women in my life and they all have friends and family that have been touched by breast cancer. Breast cancer is just a bad deal, but it can be treated and every dollar of money we raise for research and education helps. If we can bring awareness and help fund research then I’ll drive a pink car all day long.”

In 2012, 5-hour ENERGY is donating at least $75,000 to the Avon Foundation for Women Breast Cancer Crusade in connection with its new Pink Lemonade flavor. But that donation can increase a lot. The more Pink Lemonade 5-hour ENERGY sells, the more they will donate.

The Avon Foundation for Women Breast Cancer Crusade has supported research and care for 20 years. The Avon Foundation has raised and donated more than $740 million to breast cancer programs around the world, including more than $175 million to breast cancer research.

“I couldn’t be more proud of 5-hour ENERGY than I am now,” said Rise’ Meguiar, 5-hour ENERGY vice president of sales and marketing. “There is a great need for breast cancer research and access to care. I’m happy that 5-hour ENERGY and MWR are playing an important role in raising funds and increasing awareness.”

Bowyer will also drive the pink paint scheme in the Charlotte, Kansas and Martinsville races.
