Previous Race Recap…In his debut at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Burton faced multiple challenges at the one-day event, starting with a rough first practice session where he made contact with the wall. In his backup truck, Burton used the final practice session to get comfortable and qualified fourth for the Smith’s 350. The team, however, struggled with handling issues and despite multiple pit stops and adjustments, the issues remained throughout the race. Fighting hard, Burton managed to cross the finish line in 12th place and remain fourth in the NCWTS Driver Point Standings.

Jeb Burton on Racing at Talladega Superspeedway

“I’m looking forward to racing at Talladega for the plain reason that it’s Dega. As excited as I am to get back on a racetrack and compete, this weekend will really be all about luck. We’ll either have it on our side or we won’t. We ran good in this truck at Daytona, so we’ll give it another shot this weekend and hope for the best. A lot of things are riding on this wild card race.”

Back to the Trucks…After the Smith’s 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway three weeks ago, the series took a short break in the action, but that didn’t stop Buescher and his No. 31 TSM team from racing. Buescher made his third and fourth starts of the year in the NASCAR Nationwide Series and brought home two top-15 finishes.

Previous Race Recap…Paludo had the comeback of the year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where the Brazilian earned a top-three finish in the Smith’s 350. After taking the green flag from the seventh position, the Brazilian experienced a strong start, but a spin on lap 15 sent Paludo back to the 25th position, one lap down. The No. 32 AccuDoc Solutions team had a remarkable recovery, and Paludo quickly regained his lap and became a contender for the win, crossing the finish line in the third position.

Miguel Paludo on driving at Talladega Superspeedway

“Talladega is a big wild card race for sure. I really like restrictor plate races, but your day can go from good to bad pretty quickly. We were running really well last year and had a shot for the win, but wound up wrecking in the final turn of the race. Talladega is all about patience. There’s a huge debate about whether the best strategy is to run up front or run way in back. I’ve had both strategies work out and I’ve bad both situations put me in a wreck, so it’s really all about drafting with the right people and being smart on every lap. I was able to go home to Brazil during our off weeks, and now I feel relaxed and ready to get back to the track. If we can leave Talladega with a good finish, we can really secure a good place in the points for the rest of the season.”
