Red Horse Racing at Daytona International Speedway… In 17 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at Daytona International Speedway, Red Horse Racing boasts two wins (Timothy Peters in 2010 and John King in 2012), five top-five and seven top-10 finishes. The Mooresville, N.C.-based organization has an average starting position of 19.2 and 13th-place average finishing position. RHR teams have completed 1,628 of 1,735 (93.8 percent) laps of competition and 24 led.

Keeping the Streak Alive at Daytona… Red Horse Racing teams have visited Daytona’s Victory Lane in the even years in this decade with Timothy Peters taking the checkered flag in 2010 and John King bringing home the honors in 2012.

Red Horse Racing NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History… Since entering NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition in 2005, RHR has logged 380 starts, earning 12 wins, 73 top-five finishes, 156 top-10 finishes and 11 pole awards, with an average starting position of 13.6 and an average finishing position of 14.4.

The 2014 RHR Driver Lineup… NASCAR Camping World Truck Series veteran Timothy Peters returns to the No. 17 Toyota Tundra and three-time NASCAR Mexico Series champion Germán Quiroga returns for his sophomore season in the No. 77 machine. Joining Peters and Quiroga this year is Brian Ickler in the No. 7 Red Horse Racing entry.

Meet the RHR Drivers at Honda Generator… Brian Ickler, Timothy Peters and Germán Quiroga will meet with fans and sign autographs at the Honda Generator display on Friday, Feb. 21 from 12:15 – 12:45 p.m. Easter Time. The display is located in the Fan Zone of the Daytona International Speedway Midway.

This Week’s Bullet Liner Toyota Tundra at Daytona International Speedway… Brian Ickler will pilot chassis No. 140 from the Red Horse Racing stable in Friday’s night’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona. This chassis was most recently used by the No. 7 team at Talladega Superspeedway. Red Horse Racing drivers visited Victory Lane at Daytona International Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway in 2012 with this Toyota Tundra. In the off-season this chassis was converted to the new 2014 Toyota Tundra.

Ickler’s First Truck Series Start at Daytona… Friday night’s race will be Ickler’s first NASCAR Camping World Series start at the famed Daytona Beach racetrack. The Poway, Calif., native does have one race under his belt there in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. In July 2010, Ickler started 18th and finished ninth at the 2.5-mile superspeedway.

A Little More About Ickler… Ickler cut his teeth off-road racing when he was 14 years old. By the age of 17, he was named the SCORE Rookie of the Year, Lite champion, and has victories in the SCORE Baja 1000, Baja 500, and San Felipe 250. In addition to his experience in the NASCAR Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series, the Poway, Calif., native has collectively made 43 starts in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series (East and West divisions), earning seven wins and five pole awards.

Toyota Loyality… Since his NASCAR Camping World Series debut at Kansas Speedway in 2009, Brian Ickler has not driven for any manufacture other than Toyota.

On the Pit Box… Veteran crew chief Chris Carrier joins Red Horse Racing in 204 and will make the calls from atop the pit box for the No. 7 Toyota Tundra team. Notably, Carrier has won races in each of NASCAR’s premier series.

NASCAR Camping World Series Career… Ickler has 22 career starts in the Camping World Truck Series under his belt, with six top-five and 10 top-10 finishes and a pole award at Michigan International Speedway (June 2009). He holds an average starting position of 9.8 and an average finishing position of 12.6. Ickler also led the Truck Series field to the green flag at The Milwaukee Mile in 2009 when qualifying was rained out and his team was the current leader in the owner’s championship point standings.

This Week’s Valvoline/Express Oil Change Toyota Tundra at Daytona International Speedway… Timothy Peters will pilot chassis No. 012 from the Red Horse Racing stable in Friday’s night’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona. This chassis was used by teammate Germán Quiroga at Talladega Superspeedway and Daytona International Speedway in 2013. In the off-season this chassis was converted to the new 2014 Toyota Tundra.Previous Winner at the “World Center of Racing”… Peters drove the No. 17 Toyota Tundra to Victory Lane at Daytona International Speedway on February 13, 2010. In six previous starts at the 2.5-mile superspeedway, Peters holds one win, two top-five and three top-10 finishes, with a 23rd-place average starting position and an average finishing position of 9.8. He has completed 606 of 614 laps (98.7 percent) and led for 17.

10 Years in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series… 2014 kicks off Peters’ 10th year in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, and his sixth year of full-time competition. This will be the veteran driver’s fifth season at Red Horse Racing. Peters has earned seven wins, 31 top-five and 73 top-10 finishes, claimed six pole awards and led for 1,211 laps in his career. In 2012 he contended throughout the season for the championship title, finishing a career-high second in the point standings.

Childhood Friends Reunited… Best friends since high school, Timothy Peters and Marcus Richmond are back together again as driver and crew chief. The duo turned Richmond’s garage into their race shop and from it won three track championships, at Orange County Speedway (Rougemont, N.C.) in 2002 and 2003, and at South Boston Speedway in 2004.

2013 Daytona Flashback… TimothyPeters and his No. 17 Toyota Tundra team qualified 23rd for the 2013 NextEra Energy Resources 250. Peters drover a conservative race in the early laps, and then began to climb to the front of the running order. He was running in the 11th position when he was collected in a multi-truck accident on lap 92 that ended his night early and relegated him to a 27th-place finish.

This chassis is brand new and will see its first laps of competition in Friday night’s NextEra Energy Resources 250.Quiroga at Daytona… Quiroga has one previous start at the Daytona Beach facility. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Career Statistics… 2014 marks Germán Quiroga’s sophomore season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. With 28 career starts in his name, Quiroga has earned two top-five and seven top-10 finishes. He earned his first career pole at Iowa Speedway in July 2013, becoming the first Mexican-born driver to earn a pole in one of NASCAR’s top series.

Butch Hylton Calling the Shots… Veteran crew chief Butch Hylton will be calling the shots for the No. 77 team this season.  Hylton has served as a crew chief across all three of NASCAR’s premier series, working with numerous drivers including NASCAR legends Dale Jarrett and Ricky Rudd.

From Semi-Pro Baseball to NASCAR… Patrick Cole joins the No. 77 Toyota Tundra team this year as a mechanic and front tire carrier. Prior to pursuing a career in NASCAR, the Bartow, Fla., native played semi-professional baseball in Lakeland, Fla.

2013 Daytona Flashback… Germán Quiroga started the NextEra Energy Resources 250 from the 20th position in the No. 77 Toyota Tundra and drove into the top-10. While running 10th, Quiroga was collected in a 14-truck incident on lap 54. The Red Horse Racing team made numerous repairs on pit road and the Mexico City, native completed the race taking the checkered flag in the 25th position.
