This Week’s Texas 28 Spirits Stage Toyota at Richmond International Raceway:  JJ Yeley will pilot Chassis No. 639 in the Toyota Care 250 at Richmond International Raceway. This chassis was previously driven by JGL Racing teammate Eric McClure at Texas Motor Speedway earlier this month.

Yeley at Richmond International Raceway:

JJ will be making his 15th career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at the Richmond International Raceway to go along with his 11 starts in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at the track.  Yeley has six Top-20 finishes in XFINITY Series competition at RIR with a best finish being a 12th-place effort in 2007.

JJ finished 18th in the 2014 Spring race for JGL Racing at Richmond International Raceway.

JJ’s Thoughts on “America’s Premier Short Track”:

“Richmond provides some of the best racing all year for both the drivers and the fans.  It is short track racing but the track really provides you with some good racing room – so it is a lot different that the door-to-door short track racing we had last week in Bristol.”

“It is always important at Richmond to be able to have good bite and drive off the corners as that is your best way to set up passing others for position. And it will also be very important to manage our tires as tire wear is crucial.”

“We are coming off a tough race in Bristol last week. But I am confident in this JGL Racing team and the progress we are making. I look forward to a strong showing on Friday night under the lights in Richmond.”

Yeley’s Thoughts on Steve Byrnes:

“My thoughts and prayers are with the Byrnes family. We lost a man who touched so many in the NASCAR community. Steve was a special person to so many in this sport and he will be greatly missed.”
