POOLE’S PENULTIMATE START IN 2015

For the second-to-last time in 2015, Brennan Poole returns to the seat of the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro for Friday night’s 300-mile race at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS). Through 15 starts, Poole has two top-10s and nine top-15 finishes, with an average starting position of 16.3 and an average finishing position of 18.8. Although this is the young driver’s first start on the 1.5-mile oval, Poole collected several Legend Car victories at CMS in the Bojangles’ Summer Shootout earlier in his racing career. His remaining XFINITY Series start will be at Kansas Speedway next week.

MEET BRENNAN

On Friday, October 9 from 1:15 – 2:00 p.m. EDT, Poole will sign autographs, along with several other XFINITY Series drivers, at the entrance of pit road. The session is open to all CMS Season Ticket holders.

RIDE WITH POOLE

Poole will once again carry the DC Solar on-board camera for Friday’s 300-mile race. Tune into NBC Sports Network for all the action from the Drive for the Cure 300.

LOOKING BACK AT DOVER INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

As a result of near constant rain last Friday, the weekend schedule was condensed to just last Saturday’s Hisense 200 race, with the starting order set based on owner points. Kyle Larson was behind the wheel of the No. 42 ENEOS Chevrolet Camaro for the first time in two weeks. He started the 200-lap race in 15th and took the checkered flag in the fifth position. The fifth-place finish is Larson’s third top-five of the year in 11 XFINITY Series starts.

POOLE ON CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

“I am excited to race at Charlotte [Motor Speedway] because it’s where I grew up racing legend cars. I have dreamed about the day I would have an opportunity to race at Charlotte like a lot of my heroes. It’s been 10 years since that day and it’s just cool to think that opportunity is this weekend. We tested in May and were really fast, so I am confident we can have a really good run on Friday.”

CREW CHIEF MIKE SHIPLETT ON CHARLOTTE MOTOR SPEEDWAY

“It’s always fun to race at our home track this weekend. Charlotte Motor Speedway is a track that changes a lot from practice to racing at night race. As the night goes along, the track gains a lot of grip and is very fast. We tested with Brennan in Charlotte in May, so we feel like we have a pretty good handle on the track.”
