Friday, October 9, 2015

Ford Finishing Results:
3rd – Brad Keselowski
7th – Chris Buescher
8th – Darrell Wallace Jr.
10th – Elliott Sadler
11th – Ryan Reed
16th – Dakoda Armstrong

CHRIS BUESCHER – No. 60 Zest Ford Mustang – “The good thing is we gained a couple points, so there is that. Our guys have done a really nice job and this is by far the best car I’ve had here at Charlotte, so I’m really proud of that. Our Zest Mustang had a lot of speed. We should have been a top-5 car, but everyone is human and things happen. I make mistakes out there, too, so I can’t be hard on them. Everyone is human, but we’ll work on cleaning it up a little bit. I’m gonna try to work on a couple of things, but it wasn’t a bad day for us at all. We’re right there with them. We’re following them around the track. If we would have had a couple more laps we could have gotten them back there, but that was the end of the race and it was a lot of fun.” HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS PLACE NOW? “I’ve already told Scott that he made me like this place a little more. It was fun. We had a lot of speed in the car. We were able to move around a little bit. I had a good time, so I like Charlotte a little bit better now.”

ELLIOTT SADLER – No. 1 OneMain Financial Ford Mustang – “It was a tough night for us. We just missed it a little bit. We tried to round it back in because we were really loose yesterday. We saw it with tire wear, tire pressures and everything else. We tried to tighten it up some and just didn’t go enough. We fought a loose car bad all night, so we got a lap down there and got it back and got a top-10. I’m proud of how hard my guys fought. That’s not the finish we want, but I think that’s the best possible finish we could get.”

RYAN REED – No. 16 Lilly/American Diabetes Association Ford Mustang – “I felt like we had a better car than that on the long run. That last caution didn’t do us any favors because we were making up a lot of time on the track. It was a solid day, a lot of progression, so there are a lot of things to look forward to an be really excited about. I feel like the crew chief change we made earlier in the year is starting to pay off, so I’m looking forward to better things.”

BRAD KESELOWSKI – No. 22 Discount Tire Ford Mustang – THE MARCH TOWARDS ANOTHER OWNER’S CHAMPIONSHIP CONTINUED WITH A SOLID RUN TONIGHT. YOUR THOUGHTS. “Yeah, tonight was a big step towards it and we’re proud of that, so we’ll take it and move on.” WHAT WAS THE KEY TO YOUR THIRD-PLACE FINISH TONIGHT? “Not giving up and executing well on the last restarts.”

DARRELL WALLACE JR. – No. 6 EcoBoost Ford Mustang – “I had a lot higher hopes than eighth, but it’s still a good run for us. It’s just getting towards the end of the season. I know we’re gonna win, but it’s just starting to set in. I was proud of the effort from my team. We worked on it all night. We just have to figure out our front end stuff. We’re missing a little bit in that department and that’s what’s holding us back, so we’ll figure that out and go get ‘em next week.”
