JOEY LOGANO, No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford Fusion – Qualified 4th
YOU ROLL OFF FOURTH, ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THAT? “No. It is not first, right? We had a fast Shell Pennzoil Ford again in qualifying and didn’t get the pole. That part is frustrating. The good part is we are fourth and not that far back and the outside lane is usually a good place to be here at Phoenix on the restarts. Usually the leader takes the outside and that works out pretty well. Overall we should get a decent pit stall for that and be able to race toward the front for that. I am frustrated because I am not first which I guess is a good thing but it kind of stinks.”

GOOD NEWS IS YOU HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP BID ON THE LINE STILL ON SUNDAY. HOW DO YOU LOOK AT WHAT YOU NEED TO ACCOMPLISH? “We just need to do what we have been doing all year. We have had a lot of speed these last few weeks and it is showing again so far. It is only Friday but so far here at Phoenix our car is quick again. We are in good position right now. If that was the end of the race we would move on I think. We just have to keep looking ahead and make sure we keep the big picture in mind.”

RYAN BLANEY, No. 21 SKF Ford Fusion – Qualified 8th
“That was okay I guess. It wasn’t exactly what we want obviously but not a bad starting spot. We just didn’t really adjust the way we needed to. We didn’t adjust enough the last run to kind of get where we needed to be. That is still not a bad starting spot and we can see the front from there. Hopefully we will be good in race trim tomorrow and get this Fusion dialed in for Sunday.”

TREVOR BAYNE, No. 6 AdvoCare Ford Fusion – Qualified 23rd
“That was okay. We were decent the first run and got loose into three. That hurt us. We had a top-10 car through one and two and then got loose. We were good off four and tightened up a little bit and over adjusted a little. We got tight in the middle on the last run and were still free into three. We just couldn’t get the two ends together. My car drivers decent we just lack some speed in race trim. It is okay for qualifying. We are far enough forward that you can work from there.”

RICKY STENHOUSE JR., No. 17 Roush Performance Ford Fusion – Qualified 21st
“We had to make an extra lap there in the first round and I think that kind of hurt us a little bit for the second round. All in all the car wasn’t terrible. We were looking for a tenth to be 12th. Like we were just talking about, we are mad to be 21st but only a tenth away from 12th. These times are really close. It doesn’t take much to get a tenth out there. We will fine tune it. I thought we were okay in race trim today so that is good for Sunday.”

GREG BIFFLE, No. 16 Performance Plus Ford Fusion – Qualified 24th
“We had a little something we missed on our Fusion probably prepping it for qualifying. That hurt us a little bit. I think we could have been maybe 15th to 20th or so, a little better than we were. That is only four spots though. That isn’t really that much to talk about. We weren’t very good in race trim either but we were okay in qualifying so hopefully some of that can translate to the practice sessions tomorrow.”
