The White Zone: The light at tunnel’s end is growing dimmer

0
The 70th season of NASCAR is drawing to a close. After 38 weeks and 35 races, Ford Championship Weekend is upon us. Four drivers in each national touring series will race tonight, Saturday and Sunday to win the championship.

The White Zone: What’s with the inconsistent officiating, NASCAR?

0
The Sun is setting on the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. The championship will be decided on Sunday. But for the third time in four years, NASCAR demonstrated inconsistent officiating in a pivotal playoff race at ISM Raceway.

The White Zone: It’s time to remove Brian France from the reigns of NASCAR

We've had six weeks of positive energy from great racing and a truly momentous victory by possibly the most popular driver in NASCAR today. And what is the big story nearly 24 hours removed? It's the arrest of the sport's leader for drunk driving.

The White Zone: Thoughts on the Cup race at Loudon

Here are some thoughts I had of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Foxwoods Resort and Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The White Zone: ‘It’s the same old, same old situation’ with penalties in NASCAR

0
Another Tuesday has come and gone. Another set of penalties have been dealt out by NASCAR. Another crew member has been suspended for the next few races. Another fine has been handed to the crew chief. Another points penalty has been handed out. Another encumbered, I mean L1, penalty (yes, because it's so different from "encumbered") was bestowed upon a driver. Another tainted finish that's allowed to remain in the record. We've repeated this process too many times to count, yet teams continue breaking the rules. In the words of Mötley Crüe, "It's the same old, same old situation."

The White Zone: NASCAR returned to form in 2017

0
At first glance, the catchphrase of Monty Python's Flying Circus "And now for something completely different," would sum up 2017 NASCAR. As the season played out, however, it went from "something completely different" to a return to form.

The White Zone: NASCAR’s Safety Team Needs Some Work

0
There's one thing I have zero tolerance for in the world of motorsports, and that's when incompetence puts the safety of drivers at risk. NASCAR, your safety team needs a lot of work.

The White Zone: Stenhouse’s first win from my point of view

0
TALLADEGA, Ala. -- In the 12 years I went to races as just a fan, I can't say I attended one that resulted in a first-time winner. But in just my second year on the NASCAR beat, that changed.

The White Zone: Inconsistent officiating dragged down a good Charlotte race

0
After a lackluster start to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs, the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway finally delivered a serviceable race. Unfortunately, any chance it had of being a great race was ruined by inconsistent NASCAR officiating.

The White Zone: Overtime in NASCAR is a joke

0
All NASCAR had to do was follow their own rule on the overtime line as was written during the Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Daytona International Speedway earlier this month and again during yesterday's Brickyard 400 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and all of this would've been avoided.
