CLAY WALKER TO BRING HIS ROCK-SOLID COUNTRY HITS TO KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY’S “QUAKER STATE 400” SPRINT CUP SERIES WEEKEND country music artist Clay Walker will

SPARTA, Ky. – Tried-and-true country music artist Clay Walker will entertain more than 106,000 NASCAR fans with his rock-solid repertoire of hits before NASCAR stars Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Carl Edwards, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart race for Kentucky Speedway’s inaugural Sprint Cup Series “Quaker State 400” title July 9.  The 41-year-old Walker demonstrated his sound’s staying power when the title single from his 11th career collection “She Won’t Be Lonely Long” reached No. 5 on Billboard Magazine’s Country Album Chart and its title single rocketed to No. 4 on the publication’s Country Music Singles Chart in 2010.

He delivered his first of six career No. 1Billboard Country Singles with “What’s It To You?” from his self-titled 1993 debut release and topped the chart again with the collection’s second single “Live Until I Die.”

Walker’s true-to-his-roots All-American style and Texas work ethic have helped him create four platinum- and two gold-selling collections during a 19-year career in which he’s impacted the Billboard charts with 31 popular singles such as “Dreaming with my Eyes Open,” “Fall,” ”Hypnotize The Moon,” “If I Could Make Living,” “This Woman and This Man,” “Rumor Has It,” “Then What?,” “Where Do I Fit In the Picture,” “Who Needs You Baby” and more.

His recent “She Won’t Be Lonely Long” success has Walker believing his best years are yet to come.

“I definitely don’t feel like a rookie, but at the same time, I think the best years of my recording career are ahead of me. I believe if the good Lord wants it, who’s going to stop it?” Walker said.   Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1996, he started the Band Against MS (BAMS) non-profit foundation to fund research and education about the condition.
