• The win was the 122nd all-time NSCS win for Roush Fenway Racing.

FORD RACING CAPS TRIFECTA WEEKEND

• Tonight’s win by Matt Kenseth capped a stellar weekend for Ford Racing that saw the manufacturer win in three difference series’.

• Ford was victorious Friday night in the NNS race as Carl Edwards put Mustang in victory lane for the first time in a NASCAR-sanctioned race.

• Ford was also victorious Saturday afternoon as the BOSS 302R Mustang piloted by driver duo of Scott Maxwell and Joe Foster claimed the first competition victory for the Boss 302R in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge in GRAND-AM at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.

CARL EDWARDS – No. 99 Scotts Ford Fusion (Finished 3rd) – “I hate to throw my mom under the bus but she cooked something last night that I don’t think was too good. I think we chose the wrong package too. Bob and I were just talking about it. I feel good because Matt and those guys did a great job. Congrats to them. I have to thank Ford and Scotts and Aflac too. It was a Ford sweep and Matt and those guys were running great. The nice thing is that I know exactly what he was running.”

AT WHAT POINT DID YOU START FEELING BAD? “A little bit this morning, but I felt good and then once the race started I got a little sick again for a minute. I am good right now though. A good run like that makes you feel great. Although we would like to win, that is pretty cool to see Matt in victory lane.”

GREG BIFFLE – No. 16 3M Ford Fusion (Finished 4th) – “It was a great run for us. We really felt like we had a faster car than that but that is the positive thing, we had a really fast car. We are happy with fourth but I got us way far behind in the beginning of the run and it took that long to get back up there.”

YOU ARE TIGHT WITH MATT, HOW GOOD IS IT TO SEE HIM WIN. “I am getting ready to go see him now. Man, it is awful good. I am really happy for him.”

MATT KENSETH, No. 17 Crown Royal Ford Fusion (Finished 1st) “Thanks I haven’t had something like this for a long long time. It has been a long time. I am really happy for Jimmie and all these guys on the Crown Royal Black Ford. I have lost a lot of close ones at this track. It feels good to be able to close it out.”

CLINT BOWYER GAVE YOU A RUN THERE DIDN’T HE? “Clint is a very talented and smart driver. His spotter helps him a lot too. I just had to be patient because he could kind of see the run to gain and he would run that groove and it was tough to get clean air. It was important to be out front.”

I KNOW IT IS EARLY, BUT YOU ARE UP TO THIRD IN POINTS. “That is great. The goal every year is to win a championship and you can’t do that if you aren’t in the Chase so we have been pretty good over the last four weeks and now we have a pretty dominating win. Hopefully we can carry this momentum back to victory lane a couple of times.”
