THE LONE STAR STATE: After two off-weekends for the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Elliott Sadler and the No. 11 OneMain Financial team head to Texas Motor Speedway to compete in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300. Sadler has 10 starts in the Nationwide Series at the Fort Worth, Texas-based track with two pole awards, three top-five and five top-10 finishes and 40 laps led. He also brings NASCAR Sprint Cup Series experience at Texas Motor Speedway with 18 starts, one win (2004), one pole award, one top-five and three top-10 finishes. He also made one appearance at speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 2010 where he started second and finished fifth.

LAST TIME AROUND: In the April 2012 event at Texas Motor Speedway, Sadler competed in the top-five for much of the race. He battled a tight-handling condition and a bad vibration in the late stages of the race to finish 12th under the lights at TMS.

JUST THE STATS: According to NASCAR’s Loop Data Season-to-Data statistics, Sadler ranks second in the following categories: Fastest Drivers Early in a Run category, with an average rank of 5.2; Fastest Drivers Late in a Run category, with an average rank of 5.5; and Green Flag Speed. Sadler sits in the fifth spot for Most Miles Led (68.5) and fourth for Quality Passes (258).

TO THE POINT: Sadler moved up one position to ninth in the Nationwide Series driver championship point standings, 56 points behind the leader with 27 races remaining in the 2013 season.

LAST RACE: Auto Club: Starting from the outside pole position two weeks ago at Auto Club Speedway, Sadler led the field for 18 laps until the OneMain Financial team faced ignition issues. Sadler was able to switch ignition boxes to continue the event, but the Joe Gibbs Racing team fought a tight-handling condition that plagued the No.11 Toyota for much of the day. Sadler muscled his way to the checkered flag to bring home a seventh-place finish.

THINK PINK: The OneMain Financial driver will sport pink Oakley driving shoes throughout the entire Nationwide Series season to show support for breast cancer awareness and honor his mom, Bell. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007, and is now a survivor. This season, he will also wear special pink Oakley driving gloves.
