Stenhouse Jr. at Pocono Raceway

American Muscle

o   Stenhouse has two ARCA starts at Pocono Raceway including one win in 2008.

o   Stenhouse will make his first career Sprint Cup start this weekend at Pocono.

o   Stenhouse Jr. is currently 15th in the point standings, 28 points out of 10th.

o   Chassis RK-832 is the same chassis that the No.17 team ran at Richmond finishing 16th.

o   The backup Chassis RK-801was a chassis that the No. 99 ran numerous times in 2012.


o   This is Valvoline’s debut on the No. 17 Ford this season.

Stenhouse Jr. on racing at Pocono:

“I have raced at Pocono twice in the ARCA series and won there in 2008 so the track won’t be brand new to me. Pocono was recently repaved which has made it a fast triangle-shaped track. We are slowly working our way back up through the points. Pocono is typically hard on the engines so it is great to have Valvoline on our car this weekend because they keep our engines running strong. If we could leave Pocono with a top-10 finish, I think we would be happy.”

Scott Graves on racing at Pocono:

“Pocono is unique triangle track that can be tricky. It’s a challenging race track with three different corners and a very long straightaway. Ricky has some experience at Pocono from his ARCA days but hasn’t raced there since the repave so we will have to rely on our teammates’ set-ups going into the weekend. The good thing is the race is 400 miles so we will keep adjusting on our No. 17 Valvoline Ford and hopefully be in contention at the end of the race.”
