September 13, 2013

Friday Night Lights…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) heads to the Windy City to race under the lights at Chicagoland Speedway for the EnjoyIllinois.com 225. Hitting unfamiliar grounds once again, Burton and the No. 4 Arrowhead team will make their debut at the 1.5-mile oval track on Friday night following a top-10 finish at Iowa Speedway. All of the action will be packed into a one-day show, putting the 21-year-old Rookie of the Year contender to the ultimate test.

This Week’s Silverado…The No. 4 Turner Scott Motorsports team will unload chassis TSM-602 at Chicagoland Speedway this week. Making its debut at Kentucky Speedway earlier this year, TSM-602 placed Burton among the top-three fastest in both practice sessions and resulted in a top-10 finish for the No. 4 Arrowhead team.

NASCAR’s Rising Stars…Joined by his fellow 2013 NASCAR Next class, Burton will appear at Chicago’s Navy Pier on Thursday afternoon for the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup media day along with NASCAR Contenders Live. Be sure to follow Jeb on Twitter as he shadows the sport’s top drivers and participates in Google Hangouts throughout the day.

Watch and Listen…Don’t miss any of the action as the NCWTS goes racing under the lights at Chicagoland Speedway for the EnjoyIllinois.com 225 on Friday, September 13. Live coverage begins at 8:00 p.m. EDT on FOX Sports 1 and can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.

Previous Race Recap…Burton and the No. 4 Arrowhead team were able to get back on track after an eighth-place finish at Iowa Speedway. Burton ranked fourth fastest in the weekend’s only practice session and qualified eighth for the Fan Appreciation 200. Despite a spin with just 10 laps remaining, the No. 4 Chevy managed to collect only minimal damage. After two green/white/checkered flag attempts, Burton finished in eighth place and remains fourth in the NCWTS Driver Point Standings.

Jeb Burton on Racing at Chicagoland Speedway

“We needed that top-10 finish at Iowa. Heading to Chicago, my team and I couldn’t be more prepared to do it again. We had a good truck in Kentucky and we’re taking it to Chicago hoping for similar results. I’ve been studying film a lot and even though we’ve never raced at this track, I feel like we’ll be a real contender come Friday night. There’s no time to slow down now.”

James Buescher
No. 31 Rheem Chevrolet Silverado
Chicagoland Speedway – EnjoyIllinois.com 225
September 13, 2013

Looking to Repeat…James Buescher and his Rheem team are not only looking to go back- to-back in NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) championships, but they are looking to reclaim their throne as the defending race winner at Chicagoland Speedway. In 2012, Buescher and his Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM) team came back from two laps down after changing a carburetor to win their third of four victories of the season. Buescher and his TSM team have cut into the series points lead each of the last four weeks and currently sit just 37 points out of first.

Gotta Have A Rheem…TSM welcomes back Rheem to their No. 31 at Chicagoland Speeway. The defending race winner at Chicagoland Speedway will look to bring Rheem their second victory of the season and the team its third. Rheem Manufacturing Company (www.rheem.com) is privately held with headquarters in Atlanta. In its 87th year of operation, the company manufactures a full line of high-quality residential and commercial heating and cooling systems; tank, tankless, solar, and heat pump water heaters; swimming pool heaters and commercial boilers throughout North America and world markets. The company’s premium brands, including Raypak, Ruud and Rheem, have been recognized with countless industry and consumer awards for reliability, innovative design and high quality. Rheem, now in its seventh consecutive year as a NASCAR sponsor, is the official heating, cooling and water heating supplier to TSM and Richard Childress Racing. Rheem also sponsors RCR’s No. 29 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series car driven by Kevin Harvick and the No. 33 NASCAR Nationwide Series car driven by Paul Menard.

Chassis Info…After a lot of research and development, the Rheem team will unload a brand new chassis at Chicagoland Speedway this weekend. TSM will debut chassis TSM-603 in hopes of continuing their march to the front of the point standings.

Previous Race Recap…Buescher headed to Iowa Speedway looking to continue to chip away at the series points lead after having done so in the three previous races. Buescher and his TSM team set themselves up for a strong finish with a late-race pit stop that allowed his Exide crew to put on four sticker Goodyear tires and fill the No. 31 Chevrolet Silverado up with fuel. Surviving multiple green/white/checkered attempts, Buescher drove to the lead and never looked back, earning his second victory of the season and his first victory at Iowa Speedway.

Watch and Listen…Buescher and the NCWTS return to Chicagoland Speedway for a Friday evening showdown. The EnjoyIllnois.com 225 can be seen live Friday September 13 on FOX Sports 1. Race coverage will begin at 8:00 p.m. EDT. The event can also be heard live on MRN Radio as well as SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.

James Buescher on Winning at Iowa Speedway

“I’m really excited about winning at Iowa Speedway, it a track that we’ve been coming to for a long time and haven’t had the best of results. We were finally able to get that monkey off our back and put a “W” in the win column there.”

James Buescher on Returning to Chicagoland Speedway

“I couldn’t be more excited about going back to Chicagoland Speedway, especially coming off a huge win for our Turner Scott Motorsports team last weekend at Iowa Speedway. I think it goes without saying that this style of track falls right into our wheelhouse, and I feel like our Rheem team will be able to come out of here with another solid finish and hopefully our third victory of the season.”

Miguel Paludo
No. 32 BRANDT do Brasil Chevrolet Silverado
Chicagoland Speedway – EnjoyIllinois.com 225
September 13, 2013

Friday The 13th…The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series heads to the Windy City for the EnjoyIllinois.com 225 at Chicagoland Speedway on Friday, September 13. Paludo has two previous starts at the 1.5-mile D-shaped oval, with a best finish of eighth in 2011. Paludo has also started in the top 10 in both of his previous visits to Chicago.

Sejam Bem-Vindos (Welcome)…The No. 32 Chevrolet is extra colorful this weekend as BRANDT do Brasil comes on board for the first time this season. BRANDT do Brasil, the focal point for BRANDT’s growth strategies in Brazil, is headquartered in Sao Paulo and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Brandt Consolidated, Inc. A leading agricultural company, BRANDT consists of three divisions-Specialty Formulations, Retail Agronomy and Dealer Support-serving growers around the globe. Founded in 1953 by Glen Brandt and his sister Evelyn Brandt Thomas to help Illinois farmers adopt new and profitable technologies, the company has experienced aggressive growth under the leadership of President and CEO Rick Brandt. Innovation, technology and strong customer service are a few of the core beliefs that drive BRANDT today. BRANDT’s focus is providing the products and services that give growers the best opportunity for maximum return while building a stronger, healthier and more abundant food supply. This Week’s Silverado…Paludo and the No. 32 BRANDT do Brasil team will unload chassis TSM-600 this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway. TSM-600 has never started or finished outside the top 10 in the four races in which it has been utilized, earning the pole position and a best finish of second at Pocono Raceway. The truck has both an average start and average finish of sixth, and most recently hit the track at Michigan International Speedway where Paludo finished fifth.

Watch And Listen…The EnjoyIllinois.com 225 can be seen live Friday, September 13 on FOX Sports 1, with coverage beginning at 8:00 p.m. EDT. The race can also be heard live on MRN Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, channel 90.

Previous Race Recap…Paludo entered the weekend at Iowa Speedway with momentum on his side and the “perfect” truck before a stuck throttle resulted in a mid-practice wreck, forcing the No. 32 team to utilize a backup for the Fan Appreciation 200. Paludo and crew persevered in a truck that did not make a lap of practice, fighting back from a lap down to finish 14th.

Miguel Paludo on driving at Chicagoland Speedway

“I can’t wait to get to Chicagoland. I’m very proud to be representing BRANDT do Brasil. A lot of people think of Brazil as beaches and big cities, but agriculture and companies like BRANDT play a huge role in many parts of the country, including in the south where I grew up. Chicagoland is BRANDT’s home track and they always have a huge number of guests supporting our team at the racetrack. I don’t think there would be anything more special than to go to victory lane in front of BRANDT while representing my home country. I’ve run well in Chicago in the past and we’re bringing a chassis that we’ve been very successful with so far, so I think this is going to be a great weekend.”
