POOLE HOPES TO BE THE “MANE” ATTRACTION IN RICHMOND

Brennan Poole is set to make his 14th start of 2015 in the No. 42 DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro at Richmond International Raceway (RIR). Through 12 starts, Poole has two top-10 and eight top-15 finishes, with an average start of 16.2 and an average finish of 18.4. Poole competed in the April event at RIR, scoring his best start of the season and finishing 13th. His last XFINITY Series start was in early August at Iowa Speedway, where he finished 13th. Poole will round out his XFINITY Series schedule with three additional starts in 2015 (Kentucky 9/26, Charlotte 10/9 and Kansas 10/17).

MEET BRENNAN

On Friday, September 11 from 2:00 – 2:45 p.m. EDT, Poole will sign autographs, along with several other XFINITY Series drivers, at the amphitheater located behind the frontstretch grandstands. Wristbands will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the RIR display midway beginning at 10:00 a.m. EDT.

RIDE WITH BRENNAN

Poole will once again carry the DC Solar on-board camera for Friday night’s 250-lap race. Tune into NBC Sports Network for all the action from the Virginia 529 College Savings 250.

A LOOK BACK ON DARLINGTON

While Poole is driving the DC Solar Chevrolet Camaro this weekend, Kyle Larson was behind the wheel of the AccuDoc Chevrolet Camaro last week in Darlington. Larson started third and in the first 20 laps drove up to the runner-up position. The race’s final cycle of pit stops saw several teams attempt to stretch fuel and tires to the finish of the race. His crew opted to remain on schedule and bring the AccuDoc Solutions Chevrolet to pit road with 20 laps to go. Utilizing the fresh tires on his car, Larson drove back up to finish seventh. This was his seventh top-10 finish in just nine XFINITY Series starts in 2015.

POOLE ON RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

“I really enjoyed my first race in Richmond in April. We had a really good car and having competed there once before gives me a ton of confidence going into this weekend’s race. (Crew Chief) Mike (Shiplett) and the guys have worked really hard to prepare another great race car for me. Having been out of the car for a month makes me more excited to get back behind the wheel. I think we have a good shot at bringing the DC Solar Camaro home with a great finish.”

CREW CHIEF MIKE SHIPLETT ON RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

“Richmond is a challenging track. Very often teams will use two-tire pit strategies to gain track position. The key to getting around Richmond fast is a good braking car along with being able to turn well in the center of the turns. Brennan did a really good job in April, and we hope this weekend’s race will be the same.”
